Grace Preschool Staff
Director and PreK Teacher- Jennifer Freeman has been the Director of Grace Preschool for 5 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Psychology from Stevenson University. Jennifer taught in public, private, and preschool settings for over 10 years. She took a leave from the classroom to be a stay-at -home mom to her two children. Once returning to work she started as Director of Grace Preschool, and she is the current PreK teacher as well. She enjoys being back in the classroom. When not at school she loves spending time with her family boating and watching baseball.
PreK Aide- Carey Houseman is the PreK Aide and has been at Grace Preschool for 4 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Shippensburg University as well as her Professional Certificate Instructional 11 after completing post-baccalaureate credits from Penn State York. Carey taught 5th and 6th grade in Spring Grove for 7 years until leaving to be a stay-at-home mom to her two children. Upon returning to work she started at Grace in 2018 and is doing what she loves. When not at Grace, she loves spending time with her family, attending church, and supporting her children in their sports and music interests.
3's Teacher- Carrie Houston is our 3's teacher and has over 20 years' experience in preschool settings. She has a Associate Degree in Legal Studies, as well as a Associate's in General Studies-Early Childhood focus. She has also taken continuing education classes through Messiah University and The University of Pittsburgh. Carrie enjoys spending her free time with her family and enjoying the outdoors. They are a true Disney family and spend a lot of time at Disney World!
3's Aide- Susan Cooper is our 3's Aide and has worked as a teacher's aide for 9 years. She retired after 30 years as an RN working with both kids and adults, in her home state of Maryland. Through her previous preschool employer, she worked with students ages 4-18 with disabilities. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two grown children.
